Chamber Music

The first of the season’s Chamber Music Concerts will feature Barrett Sills, laureat of international cello competitions in France, Germany, and Brazil, and principal cellist of the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet Orchestras as well as the period instrument ensembles Ars Lyrica and Mercury Baroque, in a solo recital of works for cello and viola da gamba. In March, La Follia Austin is joined by renowned traverso player Jed Wentz in a program of chamber music from the French Baroque. Sebastian Knebel, in residence with the Bach Society this season as organist and harpsichordist, collaborates with members of the Bach Orchestra in April to bring a concert of music from his native Saxony.
