Oktoberfest Vespers

Kick off the season with sacred music featuring the cantata Gott der Herr ist Sonn und Schild, BWV 79. A festive outdoor community gathering with bratwurst, beer, and a brass band follows.

Kelly Hall-Tompkins

Acclaimed as a classical and jazz soloist and a pioneer of social justice in the arts, Ms. Hall-Tompkins founded and directs Music Kitchen – Food for the Soul, which has brought over 100 chamber music performances to more than 18,000 homeless shelter clients in cities from New York to Paris. Bach Society Houston is thrilled to bring this amazing artist to our city!​

Bach's Christmas Oratorio & the Magnificat

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13 | 3-4:30PM

Houston’s new holiday tradition returns with the Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 parts 1 & 5, and the radiant Magnificat, BWV 243, performed by the Bach Choir, Bach Orchestra and featured soloists.

Season Finale: Vespers & Music in the Americas, Part 3

SATURDAY, MAY 2 | 3-4:30 PM

Cantata Wer Dank opfert, der preiset mich," BWV 17 and this year's program of music in the Americas during Bach's lifetime. This concert will honor Rick Erickson’s superb leadership as Artistic Director and welcome Ben Kerswell to this role starting in July 2026.
