Oktoberfest Vespers

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18 | 3-4:30 PM

Opening our season with Cantata “Gott der Herr ist Son und Schild",  BWV 79 will be performed with period instruments and historically informed musicianship. Community Oktoberfest follows with bratwurst, beer, and a brass band.

Blues to Bach:
Kelly Hall-Tompkins

Acclaimed as a classical and jazz soloist and a pioneer of social justice in the arts, Ms. Hall-Tompkins founded and directs Music Kitchen – Food for the Soul, which has brought over 100 chamber music performances to more than 18,000 homeless shelter clients in cities from New York to Paris. Bach Society Houston is thrilled to bring this amazing artist to our city!

Bach's Christmas Oratorio & the Magnificat

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13 | 3-4:30PM

Houston’s new holiday tradition returns with the Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 parts 1 & 5 PLUS the radiant Magnificat BWV 243 will be performed with period instruments and historically informed musicianship .
