We are off to Dresden, be back soon Leipzig!

Updated: Sep 6

As you can expect, a Sunday in Leipzig during BachFest is quite exciting...

This past Sunday, June 11th, our activities included two concerts. Of particular note, was our performance in Wittenburg at the infamous Castle Church , most commonly known in Germany as Schlosskirche. If you are thinking, "my that sounds familiar", well that is probably because you know it as the church that Luther nailed his 95 Theses to in 1517. Also, fun fact, his tomb resides there currently and is visited by tourists every year, paying homage to his importance within Lutheran history.

Following the concert, our evening was rounded out by a traditional German grill party. Our Bach Society Houston choir enjoyed some much-deserved relaxation and the opportunity to reflect on all that has already occurred here in Leipzig.

Today we are headed to Dresden for Organ Devotion at the Frauenkirche and then Loschwitz for a Vespers concert at the Church of Loschwitz. Then, back to Leipzig!
