"Bach" to Leipzig we go! (Day 6, 7, & 8)

Following yesterday’s adventures in Dresden and then singing at the spectacular church in Loschwitz (tune into our facebook to hear a video of us singing in this architectural gem), the Bach Choir visited the German capitol of Berlin to sing at the famous Marienkirche, one of the only major churches in the city that was spared from the bombings of World War II. This church was not only beautiful but an amazing space to sing in.

After returning to Leipzig, we attended a performance of the first major opera at the Gewandhaus, Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, performed by Le Concert des Nations directed by Jordi Savall. Tomorrow we return to Wittenberg to sing at the City Church, then later at the Jakobikirche in nearby Köthen.

As always, wishing you were all here to experience this with us!
