Violin, Part I

Members of the Bach Orchestra Oleg Sulyga and Nadia Lesinska perform the first of three installments of J.S. Bach's complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin, which are among the most beautiful and technically demanding in the repertoire.

Members of the Bach Orchestra Maria Lin and Kurt Johnson present the final performance of J.S. Bach's complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin, which are among the most beautiful and technically demanding in the repertoire.

This Bach Vespers, streamed online, centers around Bach's dramatic cantata From the Depths I Cry to You and a powerful setting of Psalm 51 by Hernando Franco, a Spanish Renaissance composer who was mainly active in Mexico and Guatemala.

June 6, 2021 | 6:00 P.M.

Bach Vespers: Music of the Americas in the Time of Bach

To conclude the season, the Bach Choir presents a festive Bach Vespers celebrating the works of Bach and his contemporaries in the New World, streamed online.
